Using a structured literacy approach, LIFT Tuition supports your child with teaching that is clear, systematic, and proven to work. Lessons are led by Renee Maurice, a passionate, experienced and highly qualified primary school teacher.

The LIFT approach is grounded in the Science of Reading and delivered in a way that is student-focused, engaging, and encouraging.

Whether your child needs extra support to catch up, extension, support with dyslexia or other learning challenges, LIFT Tuition offers support by creating personlised lessons tailored to their individual needs.

Renee has over 20 years teaching experience in Primary schools throughout New Zealand and overseas. She has worked for the last 3 years as a Structured Literacy teacher while completely study with IMSLE and LMIT.

Renee is passionate about supporting children to reach their potential, particularly in the area of literacy. She loves working with children individually or in small groups and seeing the rapid progress and LIFT in confidence that occurs when learning can be at their pace and directly tailored to their needs.

Renee holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Diploma in Teaching, is a qualified MSL Specialist Dyslexia Educator (IMSLE) and is currently undertaking the Learning Matters Intervention Teaching certification for specialists in Structured Literacy.

Having recently relocated to Nelson, Renee now teaches from her private home in Nile Street.
